Classy and upbeat is what best describes this Chili’s outlet at Inorbit Mall. Welcomed by the ever smiling staff we took to our seats and what followed was a gastronomical delight.
We started with few non alcoholic beverages like the Mango Mojito, Peach Ice Tea, Honey Lemon Margarita, Blue Pacific, and an arrey of Mojiteas. Personal favourites were the Mojiteas which were refreshing and a great start to the afternoon. These mocktails were served with some lip smacking Panko Onion Rings. Large rings crispy and flavourful with some awesome spiced mayo was the best start to a fun afternoon.
Next up were a procession of starters. The Texas Cheese Poppers was par excellence. Small round crispy balls stuffed with soft gooey cheese. One was definitely not enough to justify our cravings.
Next up was the Country Fried Calamari. Crumbly and crisp, these calamari were an absolutely delight. Though not too pleasing to the eye but cracker of a dish.
Next we were up for some visual treat. The Non Vegetarian Tripple Dipper.
This comprised the Original Chicken Crispers. A not so crisp, rather moist and soggy batter fried chicken strips which was way too salty was a complete let down.
Chicken Wings are something that every table seemed to order. Juicy and soft tossed with a perfect amalgamation of sauces with a distinct taste of honey. Not too spicy but a perfect match to the chipotle dip it was served with.
Next in line was the Chicken Nachos and the Veg Nachos. Not the typical triangular extra thin crispy chips but more like a thin crust pizza. The base was a little thicker yet crispy and loaded with cheese. Chicken bits for the non vegetarians and pickled jalapeños for the vegetarians. These were served with some great chunky salsa and a sour cream dip. A winner for us but not a favourite for many on the table.
Then came in the Mushroom Jack Paneer Fajita. The soft and succelent grilled Paneer tossed with some sauteed mushrooms and onions.A perfect meal of its own.
Burgers can never be given a miss here and so we did try a few of them.
The Grilled Chicken Burger was not worth a mention at all. Though taste wise it wasn’t too bad but was extremely dry and even a margarita couldn’t help push it down the throat.
The Bacon Burger was way above average. Large in size with a well cooked patty was every beef lovers paradise. A special mention to the crispy fries served along with each of these burgers. Simple yet flavourful, made us craving for more.
Next up was the Philadelphia Melting Cheese Steak. High on expectation but a total let down. Very rubbery and chewey with absolutely no flavour. But we could give it a grace score as we have had it at the other outlets and it definitely wasn’t such a let down after all.
Both the vegetarian and the non vegetarian versions of the Quesadillas were a super hit. Right in taste with the perfect quantities of filling and with the best crunch ever. A great bite along with the Presidente Margarita.
When in Chili’s one definitely must not leave the place without gulping down the President Margarita. The most refreshing one can ever have , and something which can shake you up in a jiffy. Available in various flavours , a must have to experience the joy.
We were served 2 desserts, each of which deserved good words but the one which was class apart was the Molten Chocolate Cake. A soft sponge cake filled with liquid chocolate like a lava. This was topped with vanilla ice cream with a crunch chocolate cap. An absolute treat to the ones with or without a sweet tooth
