The Guiltless Foodies

We are a gourmand couple who love to discover new places and eat our hearts out. Follow us for a guilt trip along the food road.

Review: Chick Blast, Kopar Khairane, Navi Mumbai.

An absolute blast is what we had when we visited this small outlet. Painted brightly yellow and red. Came to know about this place from a fellow Zomatian and friend of mine and being a burger fan thought it would be a crime if I missed this place which was so close to home too. Convinced my fellow foodie, my wife, an eggitarian to join me to this chicken paradise.

When we walked in it was empty. Convinced myself that it was thebeginning of the week and not many venture out. The person across the counter was nice and helped me decide that I should take the 2 piece chicken and pick from a choice of 7 different Spice mix, a chicken burger, fries and softdrink combo. My wife was suggested to take the Blast Veggie combo. Since she was not too keen to have a soft drink they converted the same to chocolate shake complimentary.

She got a Blast veg burger which was steaming hot, a small portion of fries with Piri Piri spice mix complimentary and a super creamy and thick chocolate shake all this for 120/-. She was more than impressed. The burger was piping hot, with fresh veggies and a perfectly made patty. And she got to upgrade her drink to a smoothie for free.

Over to the tray on my side now. Two very large pieces of crispy fried chicken, sprinkled with this amazing really Hot spice. Priced at just 140/-. I was awestruck when I saw those on my tray. I just couldnt wait to dig in. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. And the hot spice mix was blending perfectly as well. My fries weren’t tweaked and no spice mix was added. But I guess it was a good decision as my chicken was super spicy. Just like how I wanted it.

The show stealer was the burger priced at 135/- for the combo. Soft bun filled with lettuce and strips of crispy chicken and topped with sauces and melted cheese. Too good to be true. Value for money and a place one mustn’t miss.

We were asked to try their new introduction, the “Grilled Chicken Burger”. Mouthwatering tender pieces of chicken grilled just to perfection, added with Caramelized Onions, mayo with a spicy and BBQ flavoured twist. It was just heavenly. Tried the Pepper Spice flavour on the fries with this order. It was outstanding. Nothing comes close to their 7 distinct Flavours. Love it.

Juss means a 'meal cooked with love' and it was precisely that when a group of us close friends met up over a vegetarian only unlimited Sindhi thali. The thali comprised of Sindhi Curry, Alu Took, Sai Bhaji,Daran ji Curry, Sanna Pakoda, Chaval, Bhuga Chaval, Bhindi Bassar, Rassewale Alu, Boondi Raita, Papad, Puri, Chapatti, Rose Sharbet and a dessert of our choice. This comforting regional thali is a brainchild of Rohit @thehungrymumbaikar & sure is a super duper hit 👍
Our love for this amazing Indian dessert - The Jalebi is known pretty well in the family and @thechiranjeevlakshman made sure he shared a piece of our love through a picture with us. This is the famous Jalebi from Puruliya district in West Bengal served only in the Shal tree leaf. Dipped in the sweetest of syrup yet retaining its crunch. Shubho Nabo Barsho to everyone as well.
Our "TAMIL NEW YEAR SADHYA" at home today was Rice with Beans Poriyal, Urulai Roast, Manga Curry, Thair Pachchadi, Pal Payasam, Murungakkai Sambhar, & Vadaam. Wishing you all a very Happy Vishu & Baisakhi.
A platefull of Goodness. The Grilled Cottage Steak with fried rice, grilled vegetables and french fries was one of the best we've had @pickleandpint @tungahotels . Apart from being flavourful this meal was a great experience. Pic @shubhamkatariyaphotography
Say 'Hello to the Queen' the most delectable dessert of fried bananas, cinnamon, biscuit crumble, vanilla ice cream, and chunks of juicy strawberries.
